The article about the Chris Brown situation is interesting. Like the author said, it does sound lie a classic case of battered woman syndrome.
The Fact that Riahana did forgive Chris so quickly in and of itself is not a bad thing, at least I don't think. Maybe someone in the world believes in forgiveness? Maybe someone has a heart that can forgive and forget? But again I do realize that this is not the typical reaction for someone who is in their right mind.
Abuse psychologically degrades women, and anyone for that matter. Rihana may have a case of battered woman syndrome, considering the fact that this was not the only case of abuse.
It is wrong.
There is not much of a way to stop it either. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd love to hear.

you mention battered women syndrome and that is a cyclical problem. She has the economic means to get the support needed to break the cycle. While forgiveness is find, they are empty words without conscience action, so that that there is not a repeat.
